Sewage Treatment Plant Emptying & Servicing
Modern sewage treatment plants discharge clean water to a watercourse or soakaway, but the sludge in the chamber still has to come out — usually annually. We empty all major plant types and leave the unit ready to restart cleanly.

The exact number depends on tank size, distance from the disposal route, and access. We always quote a firm price up front.

FAQs — Sewage Treatment Plant Emptying
How often should a treatment plant be emptied?
Annually for most domestic plants — Klargester, Biodisc, Conder, WPL, Marsh, Vortex, Graf. Heavy users (large families, holiday lets) sometimes need a 6-monthly schedule. The unit's manual is the definitive guide.
Will emptying disrupt the bacteria culture?
Modern advice is to empty fully and let the culture recolonise — usually within a week or two of normal use. We don't leave sludge behind because it just shortens the unit's effective volume.
Can you empty a plant if it's stopped working?
Yes. We'll empty whatever's in the tank, and we can usually tell you on the day whether the issue is mechanical (motor, air pump) or operational (overdue desludge, soakaway failure).
How quickly can you get to me?
Most non-emergency jobs across our coverage area are scheduled within the same week. Emergency callouts (overflowing tank, blocked drain, sewage backing up) are usually same-day — WhatsApp us and we'll route the nearest tanker to you.
Do you charge a callout fee?
No. The price we quote on the phone or WhatsApp is the price you pay, all in. We don't add hidden callout, fuel, or disposal charges after the job.
