What TankAway is

TankAway is a family-run liquid waste removal business covering the East of England. We empty cesspits, septic tanks, portable toilets and welfare units, construction site loos, and grease traps across Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, and Hertfordshire.

The business is run by two of us — me and my brother-in-law. He’s spent ten years in this industry and has seen first hand how often companies say they’ll do a job and then can’t fulfil it. With TankAway there’s no call centre and no “dispatch team” — you speak to the person who will be there.

How we work

We turn up when we say we will, do the job properly, and leave your site clean and tidy. No fuss, no mess.

The price quoted on the phone or WhatsApp is the price you pay. No callout fees, no fuel surcharges, no “disposal levies” added on the day. Same-week slots as standard. Same-day for emergencies.

Disposal & paperwork

All collected liquid waste is transported to authorised disposal facilities. Waste transfer notes are provided on every visit and disposal-route documentation is available on request.

The liquid waste category is full of operators trading on inertia. Their websites haven’t been updated in fifteen years. Their phones go to voicemail. Their vans are rusty. Their quotes change between the call and the job.

The job itself is unglamorous, but it doesn’t need to be unprofessional. TankAway is what happens when a family with a decade of operational experience builds a brand that respects the customer’s time and intelligence.
